Believe nothing you hear, and only half of what you see.
The autobiography of an Army brat, son of a distinguished U.S. Army Cavalry officer who served in Vietnam as a Green Beret special operations officer with MACV-SOG black operations.
I grew up in his shadow, admiring the great man and officer, forever striving to be half of what he was. Despite my life's great adventures and accomplishments, I never lived up to his or my own expectations.
It's a story of betrayal and rebuilding, but never trusting again. I live by the words of Edgar Allen Poe, "Believe nothing you hear, and only half of what you see." And how I wish everyone did.
